Dr. Sylvia Rimbergas

Dr Sylvia Rimbergas has been helping people to see better for more than 20 years. She specializes in diagnosing and treating eye diseases like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. She will love providing comprehensive eye care for families in the Sierra Vista community.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Dr Rimbergas earned her undergraduate degree from Benedictine University and her Doctor of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with honors from both schools. She completed a hospital-based residency from Jesse Brown and Hines Chicago Veteran’s Affairs Hospital System. After her residency, she enjoyed being a clinical instructor at Jesse Brown VA Chicago Hospital for students and residents. For most of her career she worked in a multi-specialty ophthalmology clinic. She also has practiced for many years in an optometric pediatric practice and has enjoyed working in Lake Havasu within an amazing primary care setting.

With her daughter at ASU, Dr Rimbergas and her husband love being close and will love the friendly feel of Sierra Vista’s lifestyle. In her free time, Dr Rimbergas enjoys crafting, sewing, and hiking with her husband and dog.
